Third edition of Nepal Premier League begins

The third edition of the Nepal Premier League gets underway today at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground situated in Kirtipur. Preparations at the venue have wrapped up, leaving the grounds fully decorated for the opening of the tournament. Organisers project that the competition will drive significant financial activity, estimating economic transactions of roughly Rs 1.5 billion over the course of the event. Financial rewards have also been outlined for the competing squads, with the third-placed team set to receive Rs 4 million and the fourth-placed team taking home Rs 3 million. In addition to the financial prizes, the tournament has secured official approval from the International Cricket Council. Consequently, every fixture in this year's competition carries official T20 status, ensuring that individual player performances, including runs and wickets, will enter official international statistics.
