Nepali Congress concludes Humla village conventions

The Nepali Congress has finished holding village conventions in every rural municipality within Humla district. These gatherings were part of the preparations for the party's 15th national convention. The process involved local members electing their respective leadership structures. District chair Mohanvikram Singh provided an update on the progress of the local assemblies. He noted that while all seven rural municipality conventions are complete, 42 of the district's 44 ward assemblies have also concluded. The remaining two wards are yet to finish their proceedings. Leadership positions in six rural municipalities were filled through unanimous selection. Pema Lama was chosen for Namkha, Balbir Shahi for Simkot, and Basant Shahi for Kharpunath. Ranbahadur Rithal, Jeevan Buda, and Suwas Rawat were selected for Tanjakot, Adanchuli, and Sarkegad respectively. Following the completion of these local-level gatherings, the party will initiate the next phase of its organisational process. Singh indicated that the selection of delegates for the national convention will begin immediately. This step is crucial for the upcoming 15th national convention.
