Avinash Thapamagar, the park's information and conservation officer, highlighted that the Narayani, Rapti and Riu rivers, along with smaller streams, are expected to see increased water flow, heightening flood and riverbank erosion risks. The park has asked its employees, buffer‑zone consumer groups, community forest committees, anti‑poaching youth groups, local residents and tourists to travel only after checking weather forecasts and to stay clear of high‑risk river and stream areas during adverse weather. Authorities also called for preparedness measures, urging everyone to stay safe and avoid vulnerable zones until conditions improve.
