Persistent heavy rain between the eighth and eleventh days of the month of Ashwin triggered landslips that washed away homes belonging to residents Ramchandra Pariyar and Rekha Darji. In response to the housing crisis faced by these displaced households, volunteers from the Sahara Group stepped in to assist with community support. A team of fifteen youths dedicated ten days of voluntary labour, working alongside local residents, to erect temporary shelters for the affected families. Coordinator Paudel stated that similar construction efforts for temporary housing are now being advanced in Mangala Rural Municipality of Myagdi to aid other disaster victims. The ongoing initiatives aim to provide immediate relief and proper temporary dwellings for households that suffered structural damage to their residences during the recent weather events. Local community members have joined hands with youth volunteers to accelerate the building process across the affected areas.
