Reach Nepal, at home and abroad

WeNepal reaches urban working adults, students, the Nepali diaspora and civic-minded professionals in Nepali and English, on the web, in the app, on Telegram and by email. We report only measured audience numbers: ask us for the current figures and we will send the real ones.

Advertising on WeNepal is light by design: two slots on a story page, one on the front page, none in the Pulse email. Fewer slots, more attention.

Display formats

All sizes follow the standard reserved-height slots in our layout, so ads never shift the page.

Presented by

Morning Pulse · [sponsor]

The Pulse is our morning and evening digest: the day's top five to seven stories as text, cards and a short video, sent by email, posted on Telegram and shown on the front page. A Pulse sponsor gets:

  • "Morning Pulse presented by [sponsor]" on the email, the video end card and the Telegram post.
  • A logo at chip size in the Pulse footer and one link.
  • A monthly aggregate reach report.

One sponsor per slot, booked monthly. The sponsor has no say in which stories appear.

Banks, telecoms, universities, NGOs and public bodies can commission a labelled explainer on a topic in their field, for example how a new savings rule works or what a scholarship covers. Our desk writes it in WeNepal's plain style, in both languages, and it runs with the "Sponsored" kicker, a disclosure line under the headline, the sponsor's name in the footer and "#sponsored" on social posts. Sponsored content is human-written or human-approved; it is never generated by the newsroom engine on its own.

The rules

These are not negotiable, because they are what make the audience worth reaching.

  • Labelled, always. Every ad and every sponsored item carries "Advertisement" or "Sponsored" on the page, in captions and in structured data.
  • Never on politics or elections. No sponsored content in the Politics category or in election coverage, and no political advertising of any kind.
  • Never on sensitive stories. No ads on stories about deaths, court cases, communal tension, health emergencies or minors.
  • Never in the Breaking style. Sponsored items use their own muted design.
  • No influence on coverage. Sponsors and advertisers do not see, approve or place stories, and cannot buy placement next to a story.
  • No reader data. We do not share reader identities or lists with anyone.
  • Legal. Creative must comply with the Advertisement Act 2076 and sector rules on financial, health, alcohol and tobacco promotion. We may decline or remove any creative for editorial or legal reasons and refund the unused portion.
