We correct in the open
When WeNepal gets something wrong, we fix it and say so. Every corrected story carries a dated note explaining what was wrong and what is right. Major corrections and retractions are also listed here, so you do not have to find them.
What the levels mean
| Level | What happened | What you will see |
|---|---|---|
| Correction | A fact was wrong but the story stands | A dated "Corrected" note at the bottom of the story |
| Major correction | The error changed the meaning of the story | A note at the top of the story, a corrected post on our channels, and an entry below |
| Retraction | The story should not have been published | The body replaced by a retraction note, social posts removed, and an entry below |
Typos and formatting fixes are logged internally and not listed here. Updates that add new information without correcting an error are marked "Updated" on the story and not listed here.
Report an error
Write to corrections@wenepal.com or use the contact form and choose "Report an error". We check, fix and note the correction within an hour of confirming it. If a story names you and you want to respond, choose "Right of reply".
