This disclaimer applies to wenepal.com, the WeNepal app, our feeds, newsletters, push notifications, videos and social channels (together, "the service"). In this page "WeNepal", "we" and "us" mean the publisher that operates the service. It should be read with the terms of use, which govern your use of the service and prevail if the two conflict.

Everything on WeNepal is general news and information about Nepal and the world. It is published so readers can stay informed. It is not professional advice of any kind.

• Not financial or investment advice. Stories about NEPSE, shares, IPOs, interest rates, gold, remittance or the rupee report what happened and what sources said. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Do your own research and speak to a licensed adviser before you invest.
• Not legal advice. Stories about laws, court cases, rules and government decisions summarise public information. They do not tell you what to do in your own situation. Speak to a lawyer.
• Not medical advice. Health stories are not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. In an emergency, contact a doctor, a hospital or the relevant health authority.
• Not an official warning service. For floods, landslides, earthquakes, weather warnings, public health orders and security alerts, follow the instructions of the Government of Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, local authorities and emergency services. Our reports may lag behind official notices.

Most WeNepal stories are drafted by software from named outlets and official sources, checked automatically against those sources, and either reviewed by an editor or, in routine categories only, published automatically after passing every check. Sensitive stories always wait for an editor. Each story carries a label that tells you which route it took. The AI policy explains the process.

These checks reduce errors; they do not remove them. A summary can still misread a source, miss context or be overtaken by events. When you need certainty, go to the original source: every story names and links its sources.

News changes quickly. A story is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time shown on it. We update and correct stories in public, as described in the corrections and right of reply policy, but we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current or free of error at the moment you read it. Check the published and updated times.

We credit and link the outlets, documents and institutions our stories are based on. Those sources are responsible for their own content. A link is a credit or a reference, not an endorsement, and we have no control over the sites we link to, their availability, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

• Market and exchange-rate figures come from the sources named beside them (for example Nepal Rastra Bank or NEPSE) and may be delayed or later revised by the source. Do not use them for trading or for any transaction where an exact, current figure matters.
• Weather in the app uses forecast data from Open-Meteo, credited on screen. Forecasts are estimates and can be wrong.
• Calculators and converters (date conversion, land units, amounts in words, EMI, VAT, gold and silver, units, age, BMI) give arithmetic results from the values you enter and the standard conversion rules. They are for convenience only. Check any figure that matters with the bank, office or professional responsible for it.
• The calendar does not show public holidays or festivals until they are loaded from the government's official notice. We do not guess dates.

The Promise Tracker and Radar profiles are based on public records and cited sources. A status such as "delivered", "in progress", "stalled" or "broken" is an editorial assessment made under the published methodology. It is not a legal finding about any person or institution.

Editorials are clearly labelled and express WeNepal's own view. Sponsored content is labelled "Sponsored" and advertisements are labelled "Advertisement". An advertisement or sponsorship is not an endorsement by WeNepal of the advertiser, its products or its claims. See the advertising and sponsored content policy.

Photographs on WeNepal are licensed and credited (for example from Wikimedia Commons or Pexels). A photo may illustrate the subject of a story without showing the exact event, place or moment described; the caption and credit say what it is. The voice-over in WeNepal videos is synthetic and labelled "AI voice". We never generate images of real people.

To the fullest extent permitted by the law of Nepal, WeNepal is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on the service or on any content, data, tool result, link or advertisement in it. The full limitation of liability is in the terms of use. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes a liability that cannot be excluded by law.
