Reconstruction efforts for the Beni-Darwang-Muna road in Myagdi face an estimated cost of approximately NPR 90 million following extensive damage from continuous floods, landslides and river erosion. Officials noted that the disaster severely affected connectivity across western parts of the district, leaving several sections impassable or structurally compromised. Senior Divisional Engineer Rajesh Ulak, speaking as the head of the Infrastructure Development Office, reported that river cutting by the Myagdi River destroyed a hundred-metre stretch of blacktopped road from the edge to the corner at Balauti, located in Malika Rural Municipality-6. Because of this severe damage, resuming regular vehicle movement immediately remains challenging. Further along the route, additional destruction was recorded between Darwang and Muna. A concrete section measuring around one hundred and fifty metres sank at Dharapani, while landslides inflicted significant harm on roadway structures in Thapachour, requiring extensive engineering work to restore safe transit for local travellers and residents.
