Work has officially commenced to reconstruct temporary diversions along the BP Highway following extensive damage caused by persistent rainfall. The continuous downpour triggered the Roshi River to wash away multiple temporary river crossings and roadway sections, disrupting connectivity and transport links in the affected areas. According to the head of the Bhaktapur road division office, Suman Yogesh, heavy rains severely impacted the infrastructure along the route. The river washed away a diversion at Chaukidanda in Namobuddha-6, another at Ghumaune in Roshi-7, and three additional locations within Roshi-11 and Roshi-12. Authorities have now mobilized resources to rebuild these damaged crossings and restore movement along the highway as quickly as possible. Officials noted that continuous monitoring is taking place across the district as repair crews address the extensive damage left by the swollen river.
