Tulsipur distribution centre to end physical electricity counters

The Tulsipur distribution centre will close its physical counters starting on the first of Mangsir to transition entirely to online utility bill payments. Centre head Suresh Kumar Mahato stated that the move follows government digitalisation goals and authority directives for the fiscal year 2083/84. Currently, forty-two percent of customers use digital channels. Officials noted that visiting the office incurs travel expenses and wastes time, whereas payments up to NPR 100 carry no extra fee. The branch currently serves fifty-five thousand users, who can now complete transactions via mobile banking or applications.
