District reports indicate that electricity has been reconnected in parts of Myagdi that suffered damage from floods and landslides. The distribution centres of the Nepal Electricity Authority in Beni and Tatopani repaired transmission and branch line infrastructures that suffered damage during the disasters. Electricity supply to the remaining affected locations is anticipated to resume in two to three days, according to Satya Narayan Gami, head of the Beni Distribution Centre. Workers and employees continued repair efforts until late at night in areas including Paudwar, Giwang and Kindu despite the ongoing festival season. The natural disasters caused extensive damage to the 33/11 kV transmission and distribution network operated by the authority, affecting around 250 utility poles and associated power lines. In certain locations, electricity supply was resumed through alternative arrangements while permanent repairs continued. Operating through the Milanchowk Substation, the Beni Distribution Centre delivers power to 24,290 consumers situated in Mallaj and Baribenika within Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parbat. The restoration efforts aimed to normalise services across the affected communities following the disruptions caused by the adverse weather conditions.
