The Armed Police Force has introduced a complimentary bus service within the Kathmandu valley to ease public movement during the Dashain festival. One route covers Balaju, Gongabu Bus Park, Koteshwor, Satdobato and Balkhu, while the second route passes through Sitapaila, Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwor and Gongabu Bus Park to serve local passengers across various locations. According to Shailendra Thapa, the deputy spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, the free transportation runs daily from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. The service is scheduled to remain operational for three days, maintaining an annual effort by the force to minimize travel hardships for commuters during the festive season.
