Approximately 200 animals, which included yaks, were successfully saved from high-altitude pastures located in Limi. This isolated settlement falls under Namkha Rural Municipality-6 in the Humla district. The livestock had remained stranded for nearly a month after their location became completely unknown following severe winter weather. Heavy snowfalls occurred between 25 September and 27 September, leaving a thick layer of snow across the entire region. This extreme accumulation hindered initial attempts to locate the missing animals and prevented rescue personnel from accessing the affected grazing areas due to treacherous conditions. Severe weather and deep snow at high-altitude mountain passes such as Nara and Nyalu frequently obstruct local routes. These blockages severely restrict movement between the remote settlement of Limi and Simkot, which serves as the administrative headquarters for the district.
