Karnali Yaks beat Biratnagar Kings by six wickets in NPL match

The Nepal Premier League witnessed a six-wicket victory for Karnali Yaks over Biratnagar Kings on Thursday in Kathmandu. Speaking after the encounter, Karnali Yaks captain Sompal Kami emphasised that collective success and earning the two points took precedence over personal milestones. He noted that the squad maintained their belief in securing the win even when facing a target requiring eighty runs from the final six overs. On the opposing side, Biratnagar Kings captain Sandeep Lamichhane addressed reporters at a press conference following the result. He attributed the defeat to poor execution in the field and with the ball. Lamichhane remarked that it felt as though they had dropped every catch of the entire tournament during this single fixture, which marked the team's second successive loss in the competition. The Thursday fixture in the capital brought distinct reactions from both skippers regarding their tournament trajectories. While Karnali Yaks celebrated a strong outcome built on team belief and crucial points, Biratnagar Kings faced mounting pressure after registering their second consecutive setback in the ongoing cricket tournament held across the country.
