  • Two buses run along designated routes to help commuters affected by low public transport availability.

The Armed Police Force has started a complimentary bus service within the Kathmandu Valley to assist travellers during the Bada Dashain festival. According to a spokesperson, the arrangement provides free transport for the public over a period of three days. Officials stated that the service operates daily from 8 am to 6 pm. Assistant Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa explained that the initiative was launched because public transport options decrease significantly across the valley during the festival, making it difficult for citizens to move around. Two vehicles depart from the Armed Police Force headquarters to serve different routes. One bus travels through locations including Balaju, the New Bus Park, Koteshwor, Satdobato and Balkhu to pick up local passengers. The second bus follows a route starting from the headquarters and passing through the western neighborhood of Sitapaila, Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwor and the New Bus Park. Both routes are designed to connect multiple neighbourhoods and ease commuting for residents during the holiday.
