An organization established through the merger of twenty-two different constituent bodies has marked its first anniversary without concluding the integration of its party structure and public organizations. Speaking about the delay, spokesperson Prakash Jwala explained that plans to hold a general convention in November were dropped due to the impacts of floods, landslides, and ongoing festival periods. Under a newly adopted timeline, lower-level gatherings have been rescheduled across the country. Ward-level conventions are now slated to occur on 11 Poush, while municipal conventions are planned for 15 Magh. The overarching general convention will take place after local elections conclude, according to the updated organizational roadmap. Criticism has also been raised regarding broader national developments during the past year. Commentators within the movement pointed to swift evictions of landless residents and controversial statements regarding borders made in parliament by the prime minister. Internal assessments suggest that the grouping finds itself in a significantly weaker position than it was twelve months ago, hindered by an inability to mount a unified protest on the streets.
