In short

  • An audit committee led by Hari Dhakal submitted a report on Madhesh province structures.
  • Conventions could not take place in seven districts due to several administrative hurdles.
  • The panel was formed in Bhadra after leadership bypassed district tours in Madhesh.

A specialized audit committee established to evaluate party organization in Madhesh province has delivered its formal findings. Spearheaded by a senior party official, the panel concluded that difficulties within the provincial framework stem directly from the actions and involvement of leaders operating at the regional and municipal tiers. The evaluation team was created in Bhadra after leadership decided against conducting tours across the districts of Madhesh. Its primary mandate was to investigate why district conventions could not be completed and to formulate appropriate recommendations for the central party organization. According to the submitted findings, multiple factors prevented conventions from taking place across seven districts. The panel highlighted complications related to the distribution of memberships, the selection of representatives, limited time availability and the conduct of provincial and local functionaries as the main obstacles. With the investigative phase concluded, the committee has formally handed over its evaluation document to the party. The findings provide detailed insights into the internal dynamics affecting regional organization and outline structural hurdles that hindered local convention processes in the province.
