Year-round skydiving operations have formally launched in Pokhara after receiving official regulatory approval. Initial test flights for the adventure activity were first carried out in the region in 2067 BS. Company director Nirmal Pandey stated that the service adopted a permanent schedule after the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal responded to the company's request by issuing the necessary operating authorization, known as an RAOC. The operational procedure involves helicopters taking off from the old airport in Pokhara and ascending to an altitude of 13,000 feet above Laurak, where instructors guide participants through their jumps. The aerial activity adds to the ongoing tourist season in the region, which has seen increased visitor movement following the Dashain festival period under clear autumn skies. Company director Nirmal Pandey noted that trained and experienced foreign citizens frequently travel to Pokhara for solo skydiving. However, tandem flights—where participants jump alongside licensed pilots—account for the majority of operations, with local interest among Nepalis also growing significantly in recent times.
