In short

  • Rohit Paudel is the first Nepali batter to score over 1,000 runs in a single League-2 edition.
  • United States captain Monank Patel is the only player to cross 1,000 runs in both League-2 editions.
  • Scott Edwards of the Netherlands needs 80 more runs in the final round to reach the 1,000-run milestone.

Rohit Paudel secured a remarkable milestone by becoming the initial Nepali batter to score more than one thousand runs throughout a single edition of League-2. This achievement places him among a select group of world-class batters who have managed to record over one thousand runs in a single tournament edition. During the competition, the captain took part in thirty-two innings across thirty-five matches out of the thirty-six fixtures scheduled in the league. His consistent performances with the bat allowed him to accumulate the historic run tally, marking a significant moment for the national team. When examining broader tournament records, United States captain Monank Patel holds the distinction of being the only batter to score upwards of one thousand runs across both editions of League-2. Meanwhile, Scott Edwards representing the Netherlands has accumulated nine hundred and twenty runs so far. The player from the Netherlands enters the final round of the current competition with an opportunity to secure a place in the exclusive thousand-run club. If he manages to score an additional eighty runs during the concluding matches, he will officially join the distinguished list alongside the select international peers.
