Worshippers queued to visit the Taleju Bhawani temple located inside the Hanuman Dhoka palace zone as doors unlocked at five in the morning. The sacred site welcomes the general public exclusively on the day of Mahanavami each year. Officials from the Hanuman Dhoka palace care office confirmed the visiting hours following discussions with concerned bodies, allowing devotees to perform worship and offer prayers until six in the evening. Thousands of visitors traditionally arrive at the shrine to pay homage during its singular annual opening. Preparations for the festival involved moving the deity to the main courtyard of the Hanuman Dhoka palace area at seven thirty-seven in the morning on thirty-one September, according to timing provided by the calendar development committee. The deity was subsequently returned to the primary temple at eleven fifty-two that same morning. The temple stands inside a historic zone recognised as a world heritage site. Security and management arrangements were coordinated by the palace care office to accommodate the large influx of pilgrims attending the annual festival. Visitors utilised the designated hours throughout the day to enter the sacred premises before the evening closure.
