Traffic along the Beni-Darbang road corridor in Myagdi district came to an absolute halt on Saturday following dry landslides. The local administration decided to suspend vehicular operations after tumbling debris created safety hazards for commuters travelling along the section. The obstruction developed at Faparkhet, an area positioned on the boundary connecting Beni Municipality-4 and Mangala Rural Municipality-2. According to a public notice issued by the District Administration Office in Myagdi, falling rocks began descending from a newly fractured hillside, making vehicular movement perilous. The assistant chief district officer stated that maintenance teams will repair the damaged track and reopen vehicular movement once debris ceases falling. The road connects three local levels across the western belt of the district with Beni bazaar, the district headquarters.
