Recent flooding caused by the Budhi Gandaki resulted in severe blockages along roadways in Gorkha. The disruption significantly impacted daily travel and transit routes for populations residing in the surrounding areas. Transport links were heavily restricted as rising water levels affected critical infrastructure points. Following the flood event, response efforts focused on clearing blockages to restore basic connectivity. A partial opening of the obstructed route has now been accomplished. This limited access provides essential relief for local populations trying to move through the affected region. The partial restoration specifically benefits individuals living in Kerauja and Runchet. These residents can now resume travel through the Dharke section as cleanup and recovery work continues across the Gorkha area following the high water levels.
