The Nursery Association of Nepal is organising a five-day national flower exhibition known as the fourth Tihar Flora Expo. Scheduled to take place from 17 to 21 Kartik, the event is designed to elevate domestic output and decrease reliance on imported nursery items. Organisers have chosen the core slogan of celebrating Tihar with local flower festivals to encourage homegrown goods throughout the upcoming national festival period. Event organisers expect the five-day exhibition to generate a total turnover of NPR 1 crore. Furthermore, authorities estimate that approximately 35,000 individuals will visit the fairgrounds during its operational days. The promotion of the expo is supported by the Department of Plant Resources along with a state-owned enterprise that produces and processes medicinal herbs. The exhibition layout will feature a total of 73 stalls to accommodate participants and visitors. This setup includes 63 commercial stalls, alongside six official booths representing the Department of Plant Resources and the Floriculture Development Centre, plus four competitive stalls dedicated to various floral displays and competitions.
