Construction has failed to begin even though five years have passed since the initial agreement was signed. Multiple discussions have previously taken place involving residents to address objections raised regarding the project. Officials noted that excuses must not be used to halt development work. A meeting was convened under the leadership of the Chief District Officer of Dolpa, Junu Hamal Dhakal. Participants in the discussion included engineers, the chief of the bridge sector, the contractor, representatives of the Bheri Corridor, and local residents. During the talks, the Chief District Officer stated that necessary coordination and initiatives would be undertaken to resolve the disagreement. Residents conveyed that they are prepared to offer facilitation if assurances are provided that the infrastructure will be built according to their demands. Following the discussion, stakeholders agreed to conduct further studies, coordinate efforts, and pursue necessary dialogues to move the construction forward.
