Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides that blocked roads across multiple districts, according to the police headquarters. The disruptions have impacted transportation in Gorkha, Kavrepalanchok, and Surkhet. Officials noted that five locations have experienced road obstructions due to debris brought down by the weather. In Kavrepalanchok, blockages occurred at Pinthali in Roshi rural municipality-9 and Gimdibensi in ward number 8, leading to a complete halt of traffic along the BP Highway. Likewise, a landslide located in Barahatal rural municipality-7 completely blocked the Karnali Highway. In Gorkha, transportation routes were disrupted in areas including Arughat rural municipality-2 and 3. In response to the ongoing risks posed by potential floods and landslides, authorities have prohibited nighttime vehicle movement along the Kanti Lokpath connecting Makwanpur and Lalitpur.
