Decision Review System technology made its debut in domestic cricket matches, bringing review capabilities to the field for the first time. During the encounter between Sudurpashchim and Lumbini Lions, technology was utilised to examine bat edges, glove contacts and leg before wicket ball trajectories. In the fourth over of the fixture, an initial decision against a Sudurpashchim batter was reviewed. Later in the second innings, another on-field ruling involving a Lumbini batter was also subjected to a review, resulting in two decisions being successfully altered after checking the technology. On the field, a spinner dismissed an opponent during the fourth over to strengthen his side's position. Another dismissal followed in the sixth over during the powerplay, leaving the batting side struggling to recover despite subsequent efforts to turn the match around.
