Nepal Oil Corporation has instructed liquefied petroleum gas industries across the nation to ensure value-added tax bills are provided during customer transactions. The measure comes after the corporation received multiple complaints stating that various gas suppliers were failing to furnish proper invoices upon selling cooking gas. In response to the grievances, the LP Gas and Aviation Department within the corporation dispatched an official circular to all gas industries. The document reminds operators of the mandatory legal requirement to issue proper tax invoices for every purchase. The circular bears the signature of Engineer Binitmani Upadhyay, who serves as a director at the corporation. According to the notice, similar formal letters regarding this obligation had already been dispatched to the concerned association on 14 August 2024 and 23 January 2025.
