Global IME Bank promotes Deep Chandra Regmi to Deputy CEO

Global IME Bank has announced the promotion of Deep Chandra Regmi to the role of deputy chief executive officer. According to official announcements, the decision was finalized during a meeting of the bank's board of directors held on Tuesday. Regmi previously worked as an assistant chief executive officer at the institution. During his career with the bank, Regmi has managed multiple operational departments. He has previously held positions overseeing financial operations, human resources, lending portfolios, and trade finance divisions. Furthermore, he serves as the chairman of the board of directors for Global IME Capital, a subsidiary firm associated with the banking institution. His educational background includes master's degrees in business administration obtained from the Asian Institute of Technology located in Thailand and Copenhagen Business School situated in Denmark. Alongside this leadership transition, Buddha Akela has been elevated to the position of assistant chief executive officer, having previously worked as a deputy general manager within the organization, bringing over two decades of banking experience. Global IME Bank operates an extensive network consisting of 341 branches, 366 automated teller machines, 147 branchless banking locations, 69 extension and revenue collection counters, alongside three international representative offices, serving customers through more than 1,000 service centres nationwide.
