Indian tourist arrivals at the Lumbini Cable Car rose by 24 percent during the 2082/83 fiscal year in comparison to the previous fiscal year. Company official Chandra Prasad Dhakal announced the performance numbers on Tuesday while presenting the annual board report at the 23rd annual general meeting. According to the presented figures, Indian visitors represented a 29 percent share of the total tourist count using the cable car transport service. Travelers arriving from various Indian states and cities—including Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh—used the cable car route to reach the hilltop destination located in Palpa. Visitors traveled to the hilltop destination to observe the Kamakhya Devi temple and the ancient Durga temple. The management indicated that targeted promotional campaigns were accelerated in order to attract higher numbers of tourists from neighboring Indian territories. The operating firm stated that it implemented expenditure controls and thriftiness measures to manage market price increases and global geopolitical fluctuations. Beside its core transport operations, the company noted it is contributing to the development of skilled technical personnel required for upcoming cable car developments.
