A total of 13,817 mountain goats and sheep were exported from Mustang for Dashain this year. Official health checks were conducted on 11,700 mountain goats and 2,215 sheep out of that export volume. Business operators traveled directly to northern areas including Chhoser and Kagbeni to purchase livestock. At the source, an individual animal costs up to 37,000 rupees directly at the pen. One trader, operating for three years, stated that he transported 200 animals from Dolpa and Mustang, delivering 100 to Baglung and 100 to Pokhara.
