Sapkota expands business through honey-based products

Sandeep Kumar Sapkota, aged 33, resides in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-5 and has moved past conventional uses of honey. Instead of restricting honey to a standard food item, he has expanded his business operations to produce a wide range of goods derived directly from honey. His enterprise required substantial financial backing, including 10 million in infrastructure and equipment investments dedicated to manufacturing honey-based items and managing beekeeping operations. Sapkota originally began his commercial beekeeping journey after completing training programmes and prioritised the sector following earlier professional experiences. Reports indicate that his commercial undertakings involve a variety of processed outputs alongside standard honey yields. The initiative reflects broader efforts by individuals to establish specialized production lines utilizing locally managed agricultural and apiary resources.
