Jhapa reports widespread national identity card distribution

Administrative offices operating in Bhadrapur, along with area administration offices located in Gauriganj and Damak, are actively registering details and issuing national identity cards. Assistant Chief District Officer Sahadev Rayamajhi stated that thousands of records have been entered into the system across the district while card shipments arrived from the central authorities. Quarterly progress reports covering the initial three months of the current fiscal year detail extensive public service delivery. During Shrawan, Bhadra, and Ashwin, the district office collected thousands of identity card details, distributed new citizenship certificates alongside replacement copies, issued passports, and processed passport recommendations. Officials noted that applicants who had waited extended periods for passports and identity cards following advance submissions received targeted attention. By offering services during early morning hours and public holidays, the administration successfully cleared pending backlogs entirely.
