The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index experienced a downward movement on Wednesday, shedding 6.38 points to settle at 2,572.34. During the trading session, the total value of shares traded across the market reached Rs 3.74 billion. Market breadth remained negative as the share prices of various companies changed hands. Other major indices also recorded downward movements during the day. The Sensitive Index, which monitors the performance of large-cap firms, went down by 0.63 points to close at 461.22. Similarly, the Float Index fell by 0.26 points to finish at 177.45, while the Sensitive Float Index registered a decline of 0.19 points, ending the session at 155.65. Among the active instruments in the market were Ghalemdi Hydro Limited, Ingwa Hydropower, NIC Asia Balanced Fund, Global IME Samunnat Scheme, and SBL Debenture. The overall market activity involved the exchange of 10,000,688 shares through 103,688 transactions, with 100 companies advancing and 167 companies declining.
