The Weather Forecasting Division has forecast moderate rain and snowfall for several parts of the country on Monday. These weather conditions are expected to affect a few areas within the mountainous and hilly terrains of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces. Additionally, light to moderate showers are anticipated in one or two locations within Madhesh Province, as well as the flat Tarai plains of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces. According to meteorologists, generally cloudy skies will persist across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces. Similar cloudy conditions are also expected to cover the high hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces. The current weather pattern is driven by monsoon winds active over Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces, alongside parts of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, while westerly winds are exerting a partial influence. Residents in the high-altitude areas of the eastern and central provinces have been advised to prepare for colder conditions due to the predicted snowfall. The division noted that the transition in wind patterns is responsible for the mixed precipitation observed across the country.
