  • The enterprise is situated on four kaththa of land in Bhimdatt Municipality ward number 15.
  • Marigold cultivation generates double the income compared to traditional farming methods.

A resident of Bhimdatt Municipality has entered the floriculture sector after recognizing strong commercial potential in the local market. Megha Rawal, who completed a three-year technical course in agriculture, decided to launch the enterprise in her home area to apply her academic knowledge and achieve self-reliance. Utilizing four kaththa of personal land, the grower planted two thousand four hundred marigold saplings. Market demand for flowers rises significantly during celebratory occasions, religious rituals, cultural ceremonies, and weddings, creating steady commercial opportunities for local producers. Expectations for strong revenue during the Tihar festival and other seasonal periods motivated the commercial shift. The grower noted that traditional farming methods yield lower returns compared to floriculture, which generates double the income. Depending on market performance this season, future expansion plans are already under consideration for the coming year.
