Community members in Rasuwa have mobilised to restore sections of the Langtang trekking trail affected by landslides and flooding. The voluntary initiative restored movement for visitors and neighbourhood residents after extreme weather destroyed key infrastructure in the region. Prior to the repairs, severe flooding had washed away the main entrance gateway as well as the bridge. The maintenance campaign focused on heavily affected sections situated above Paljor and below Rimiche. According to Dindup Tamang, the ward chair of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-4, local people volunteered their labour to reconstruct the damaged trail sections. Following the disruption of the primary pathway, an alternative route was arranged and opened to ensure uninterrupted access. The rural municipality stated that travel along the repaired path has become significantly safer following the completion of the work. The established alternative two-day journey begins from Dhunche and navigates through Thulo Bharkhu, Sano Bharkhu, Brabal, Thulo Syafru, Pahiro, Bambo, Rimiche, and Lama Hotel before arriving in Langtang.
