Tourism Board to Deploy Over 200 Creators to Highlight Unseen Sites

In short

  • Nepal Tourism Board will send over 200 content creators to lesser-known travel sites across the country.
  • The scheme was initiated under Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Khadga Raj Paudel 'Ganes'.
  • Digital material will highlight local food, traditional clothing, lifestyle, arts, and natural scenery.

Nepal Tourism Board is preparing to engage over 200 digital content creators to promote lesser-known tourist locations across the country. Organised under a special initiative led by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Raj Paudel 'Ganes', the project seeks to market Nepal's original culture, heritage, and scenery through digital channels. Under the scheme, creators specialising in travel, photography, videography, cuisine, traditional attire, art, culture, and lifestyle will visit various destinations nationwide. The primary goal is bringing Nepal's natural beauty, rich cultural diversity, and authentic ways of life to an international audience through digital content. According to the minister, actively involving content creators provides an effective method to introduce both new and under-recognised destinations alongside traditional Nepali arts, cuisine, and lifestyle. The resulting media is expected to raise the profile of promising, lesser-known areas alongside established tourism hubs while building digital content resources.
