A road blocked by floodwaters along the Budhi Gandaki has partially reopened after five days of disruption. The closure occurred after severe floods swept away local bridges and pathways, leaving residents unable to travel. Following an official call by the local administration, roughly fifty youth volunteers came together to clear the path. Their continuous efforts over three days allowed inhabitants from Keraunja and Runchet in Gorkha to begin travelling to their destinations again. Laxman Gurung, chairperson of Dharche rural municipality, noted that the obstruction created a risk of food shortages for daily wage earners in Keraunjabesi. Although the route towards ward number two in Keraunja is partially cleared, paths leading to ward numbers one and three and Chumanubri rural municipality stay blocked while maintenance continues.
