Traders have brought Himalayan sheep and mountain goats from Dolpa to Pokhara ahead of the Dashain festival. The animals were sourced from various locations within Jagadulla Rural Municipality by a group of three business partners. According to the traders, early arrival helps secure quicker sales, allowing them to return home in time for the celebrations. Weather authorities announced that the seasonal weather system has started pulling back from the country, with departure beginning in western territories. A woman aged 58 lost her life after a river carried her away in Rukum West. The incident occurred while she attempted to cross the Simrutu river. Poor weather and low visibility closed five airports on Friday and disrupted domestic flights across Nepal. Tribhuvan International Airport authorities said Bharatpur, Pokhara, Lukla, Simara and Surkhet could not operate from early morning. Kathmandu's airport was running under Instrument Flight Rules, but services that depend on Visual Flight Rules were affected, with visibility around 3 kilometres at 6am and little changed by 10am. Lukla routes were hit hardest: Sita Air cancelled all its Friday flights, while Tara Air and Summit Air waited for conditions to improve.
